The Beverly Hills Tavern
The Beverly Hills Tavern is a beautiful example of an early 19th Century tavern, in the Georgian architectural style. Listed in the National Registry of Historic Places, this two-story brick and fieldstone structure was a prominent stopping place for weary travelers looking for hospitality and a place to rest and change horses before moving on.
Frantz Krick, one of the earliest settlers in Berks County, purchased the land from William Penn's family in the 1730s. By 1750 Krick was among the largest landowners in the area boasting 750 acres to his name. The Kricks were prominent in the development of what would later become Spring Township. In 1825 the Spohn family was deeded the property. Today, the Beverly Hills Tavern offers nightly fine casual dining in the Tavern and on the Front Deck. A more relaxed atmosphere can be found in our open-air Beach Bar. For special events, we have many options to choose from. During the warmer months, we can accommodate at least 500 people at our Beach Bar area, and when the weather turns cooler, we have private rooms in our Tavern and Cabana Bar that would be perfect for your special occasion. Here at the Beverly Hills Tavern no two parties are the same. We cater each party to your exact specifications. As you enjoy your culinary experience, we invite you to share in nearly two centuries of history, and become one of the thousands of guests who have passed through our welcoming doors.
